I was fortunate enough to be given a box of Woolzies Dryer Balls for review recently.
I've seen posts about these all over and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to try them for myself. I've heard about the chemicals contained in regular laundry detergents and fabric softeners and you know I'm always looking for easy ways to go green.
Woolzies Dryer Balls has turned out to be just that. Any easy way to go green.
They are made from 100% Pure Wool, you can't get much more natural than that. They last up to 1000 loads! I LOVE that! I won't be buying any other fabric softener for at least a couple of years!
One fact that was a surprise to me (I don't remember reading about it before) is that Woolizies Dryer Balls reduce your clothes' drying time by at least 25%. That was a really great surprise. Not only am I not buying any fabric softener for years, but I'm also using a product that is good for me and my family AND saving money on my electricity.
I thought that I might miss the smell of my Downey (yes, I still used it, don't judge me) but it seems that there is something about these dryer balls that just make the loads smell fresh on their own. This is not advertised on the package but I am fairly certain that it is not my imagination. The clothes smell good! Not overpowering. Perhaps that's what it was, the liquid softeners and dryer sheets were just too much and in comparison, they now smell very fresh.
One box of Woolzies comes with 6 balls. You throw all of them in at once and forget about it. Its not loud, the balls are really soft and make virtually no noise in the machine. You get static free, fresh smelling clothing.
As if that weren't enough, Woolzies Dryer Balls are handmade in the democratic republic of Nepal, they provide a steady source of income to the desperately needy women of that developing nation.
