I received a free bottle of Freya Arctic Cleansing Water for review purposes.
Scandinavia is a land full of rich minerals and plant life that has been carefully preserved thanks to long standing commitments of the people to protect these life-giving facets of their homeland. It is a country where women are often praised the for the suppleness of their skin and Freya Skincare has tapped into these abundant resources to bring us Freya Arctic Cleansing Water.
I have to admit that when I first tried my new bottle of Freya Arctic Cleansing Water I had a bit of a snafu. Apparently the same day that I tried it I had also ran out of my usual face wash and made the mistake of using soap (albeit one of those "moisturizing" body bars, it was still soap). My face broke out into a hot, dry mess.
At the time, I wasn't sure whether it was the soap or the new product that I tried so I stopped both of them for about a week until my face cleared up. Afterwards I went back to my regular face wash and began using the Arctic Cleansing Water again. Turns out, it works great. It actually even helped soothe the bit of leftover dryness that washing with soap caused me.
Now I've been using this product daily for a couple of weeks. I've seen a noticeable reduction in winter dryness and flakiness by applying the Arctic Cleansing Water after each wash. In addition to this much needed result, there are other ingredients that provided even more nourishment for my skin:
Aesthigel with Arctic sea salts & minerals: An effective and detoxifying skin cleanser and moisturizer
Aloe Vera: An effective skin conditioning agent
Caffeine: An anti-irritant. Caffeine also helps alleviate redness and reduces puffiness
Cucumber Extract: A calming skin conditioner that offers strong moisturizing abilities as well as a mild astringent effect
Chamomile Extract: A purifying skin conditioner that offers anti-inflammatory benefits as well as antiseptic and soothing effects
Red Raspberry Extract: A skin conditioner that also offers anti-inflammatory properties
