Gaiam's Rodney Yee's Core CenteredYoga DVD Review
Rodney Yee's Core Centered Yoga is all about balance. Being a beginner at yoga, that is exactly what I needed. I stretched muscles I didn't know that I had using this DVD, I mean honestly, who knew there were so many ways to turn your legs?
Core Centered Yoga is divided into five different sessions ~ lower balance, back balance, internal balance, bending balance and restorative balance. Each segment is 8 minutes long and focuses on different areas of the body. Although not an intense yoga workout in itself, this DVD really helped me get in touch with a lot of the muscles in my body, stretching and strengthening each one in turn.
This is a great DVD if you are looking to expand and intensify your regular yoga workouts. Rodney Yee goes through various yoga poses and explains in detail how each muscle should be stretched and positioned.
I also received the Yoga Essentials Block from Gaiam. This is such a simple but incredible piece of equipment to have. It has helped me so much as I have still not worked up my balance enough to do many of the poses I would like to do. With the Yoga Essentials Block, I have that little bit of extra help that I need to be able to do everything I want to do. If you haven't tried one, I definitely recommend it.
You can purchase Rodney Yee's Core Centered Yoga at Amazon and the Yoga Essentials Block at Gaiam's Website. You can also enter to win your own copy and a Yoga Essentials Block as part of the Happy Holidays Giveaway Hop taking place between November 15-29. Enter here and good luck!
