Corset Snapshot Puts Husband's Life in Danger - A Review

Every since I saw the first review of Corset Chick, I've been itching to try it myself. The word "Corset" itself takes me back to days of being immersed in a romance novel. I was so excited to get this opportunity, I spent hours on the site trying to decide which corset I should get. I finally did decide, and here is my review.

CorsetChick.com is an online Corset retailer who sells "Corset tops, plus size corsets, corset dresses, underbust corsets, corset costumes, and more." If you visit their site you'll see that they have corsets available for any occasion, whether its a night out on the town, a party, or a night in the bedroom. There is so much variety (hence my indecision)!

I chose the Spicy Silver Corset and waited impatiently for it to arrive. Actually it didn't take long at all, I was just really excited to get it. It finally arrived and ran inside to try it on. I put it on upside down. Don't judge, I've never worn a corset before! It was just as described on the site.

I realize it doesn't look the same when its not "filled out" but I'm no lingerie model. I did however send my husband, who was working out of town at the time, a picture. He was impressed but suggested I not send another picture like that without verifying that he wasn't up on a scaffolding at the time (safety tip).

I am impressed with the detail. I was honestly thinking that this would be similar to cosmetic jewelry, it looks good from afar, but not made for close inspection. Afterall, most of the corsets and corset tops on the site are under $40. Fortunately, I was wrong because this baby looks just as good close up as it does from afar.

Here is a close up of the detail. It has a hook and eye (okay LOTS of hooks and eyes) closure in the front and laces up in the back. Remember Mammy lacing up Scarlett while she held on to the bed rail? Well, all of that wasn't necessary but the memory still made me smile. It's finished in satin and came with a matching g-string of the same material.

Overall I am tickled to death with this product. I will be visiting their site again come Halloween time for the 5PC Angel Halloween Costume. Its only $24.99, my kids' costumes cost more than that! And what would a great review be without a great giveaway to go along with it? Yep, I'm giving one away! The great people over at Corset Chick have agreed to give one of my readers their choice of corsets under $30.00 (which is most of them)! Stay tuned!

  1. That's a sexy corset. lol Your husband must have really liked that picture you sent him! I'll admit, I would love to surprise my hubby with one of these! At least, after the baby's born and I'm sort of back in shape. :-)

  2. Haha. I love the safety tip your husband gave you, that's funny. I haven't heard of this site before, but I am sure there are a few occasions when I could use one.
